find joy in the mundane began as a thought about how easily the ordinary slips by unnoticed. an apple for example; simple, familiar and unremarkable, becomes a symbol of how we stop seeing what’s right in front of us. so i painted it as if it was made of glass, filled it with flowers, and let the light turn it into something worth pausing for.
this piece is about that shift in perspective. the decision to see the world through softer, more rose-tinted eyes. it’s for the ones learning to romanticise their mornings, their routines, their little corners of life. joy often shows up softly, almost unnoticed.
